The Wine Page

Leif Hopper

Wine regions and Appellations I have visited.  Eventually this site will expand to include a listing of wineries,  wine tasting tips, favorite wines, wineries and links.  Wine can be a joyous adventure and hobby if you don't take it too seriously.  For some, the challenge is to outsmart the experts, distributors and sellers, and find a great drinkable wine for less.

Anyone can pay an absurd amount for a wine rated at 90 points by Wine Spectator or Robert Parker.  And be showing off what?  Their palette or their wallet?  Any fool can toss money without any intelligence or effort.  The challenge is to find drinkable wines for less than $10.  And great wines for less than $20.  More to follow.

Coming soon: My favorite wines.
